Stress is a good advisor. If you suffer from stress, you will not be happy, but the signals are useful. You have to learn from stress. It arises when you are not given the space to do what you want, or when you have to do things that you do not want. Then you get a negative mindset and before you know it you are in a downward spiral. You have to recognize that in time, so that you can still do something about it.
How much energy does your work cost, and how much energy does your work give? Some people come home happy and satisfied after a day of work, others are mainly dead tired.
Every job has its energy-consuming aspects. And that's not a bad thing, as long as there's enough that gives you energy. One person can deal with energy-consuming aspects better than another. That can have to do with many things. Self-confidence, knowledge and experience are important, but also things that have nothing to do with work, such as your health and your private life.
It happens too often that talented people get stuck at work. They think they do not meet the requirements, fall short. But usually there is nothing wrong with the person, the problem lies in the match between person and work environment. In a good work environment people have energy and work pleasure, and they can grow.
